Installing, updating and re-installing

Installing Notekeeper

Notekeeper is published exclusively through the Nokia Store.

To install Notekeeper:
  • Open the Nokia Store app in your phone
  • Search for 'Notekeeper'
  • Tap on 'Notekeeper'
  • Tap on the 'Buy' button
If you would like to try Notekeeper first before making a purchase, you can download a free 10-day trial of Notekeeper.

To install Notekeeper Trial:
  • Open the Nokia Store app in your phone
  • Search for 'Notekeeper'
  • Tap on 'Notekeeper Trial'
  • Tap on the 'Download' button

Updating Notekeeper

If a new version of Notekeeper has been released since you last downloaded Notekeeper, you can get the new version for no extra cost. If an update is available, upgrading to the latest version is always recommended.

To update Notekeeper:
  • Open the 'Store' app in your phone
  • If prompted to login, please login with your Nokia account (or, if you used a different Nokia account to purchase Notekeeper, please logout and re-login with the account you used to purchase Notekeeper)
  • Tap on the 'My Stuff' button (at the bottom-right corner)
  • Tap on 'All downloads'
  • Locate 'Notekeeper' in the list and tap on it
  • If you see an 'Update' button, it means an update is available
  • Tap on 'Update'
The procedure is similar for updating Notekeeper Trial as well.

Uninstalling Notekeeper

Uninstalling will remove all data stored by Notekeeper in the phone, except attachments that were saved explicitly using the 'Save to phone' option in Notekeeper. Notes that have been synced with the Evernote server will still be available in Evernote.

On uninstalling Notekeeper, the information of which notes are marked as 'Favourites' and which notebooks are marked as 'Offline notebooks' in Notekeeper will be lost because this information is never synced with the Evernote server (the Evernote server does not support storing this information).

To uninstall Notekeeper from your phone, locate Notekeeper on the application menu, and press and hold on the icon. You will see either a close button or a menu with the 'Delete' option. Use the button or the menu to remove Notekeeper from your phone.

The same applies to Notekeeper Trial as well.

Re-installing Notekeeper

In case you have cleared your device, or have got a new device, or uninstalled Notekeeper, or for any other reason, lost the installation of Notekeeper after purchasing it, you can re-install the app for no extra cost. You will not be asked to pay again as long as you use the same Nokia account as what you used for originally purchasing the app. Typically, Nokia Store allows you to re-install an app atleast upto five times (this number might be subject to change).

To re-install Notekeeper:
  • Open the Nokia Store app in your phone
  • If prompted to login, please login with your Nokia account (Or, if you used a different Nokia account to purchase Notekeeper, please logout and re-login with the account you used to purchase Notekeeper)
  • Tap on the 'My Stuff' button (at the bottom-right corner)
  • Tap on 'All downloads'
  • Locate 'Notekeeper' in the list and tap on it
  • Tap on 'Install'
You can follow the same steps as above to re-install Notekeeper Trial. However, the trial period of 10 days will still be counted from the time you first started using Notekeeper Trial.
